About 3PC

Funding Creative Solutions for a

Thriving Society

3PC — People Pursuing Positive Consciousness — is a charitable organization dedicated to funding creative projects that address mental health, economic development, and safe housing solutions.

We exist to bridge the growing gap between human needs and the systems meant to support them. In a modern society with unprecedented resources, too many people still lack access to the foundational conditions required to thrive. Mental health support is fragmented, economic opportunity is uneven, and safe housing remains out of reach for millions.

3PC was created to help close those gaps — not by duplicating existing services, but by funding and supporting creative, community-driven projects that approach these challenges in integrated, human-centered ways.

3PC was born from more than two decades of lived experience, service, and creative problem-solving at the intersection of human need and systemic failure.

In 2005, founder Timothy Samson became a Big Brother to Josh, an eight-year-old growing up in public housing. What began as a mentorship relationship became a life-shaping awakening. Witnessing the structural barriers facing Josh and his family — barriers rooted not in lack of potential, but in lack of access — inspired a lifelong commitment to building pathways that make thriving possible for people too often left behind.

Over the next ten years, Timothy dedicated his work to addressing root causes rather than symptoms. He played a role in efforts that helped North Carolina become the first state in the nation to legalize industrial hemp, contributed to the development of mission-driven nonprofit initiatives, and partnered on projects supporting homeless veterans through skill-building, regenerative farming, and safe housing solutions. Across each chapter, one truth became clear: when people are given stability, is a prerequisite for sustained mental health and economic progress.

OUR MISSION

Why We Exist?

We envision a world where:

• Mental health support is accessible and human-centered
• Economic opportunity restores dignity and purpose
• Housing is stable, safe, and foundational
• Service is recognized as a powerful force for collective healing

The challenges of our time are interconnected.

1. Mental health struggles are intensified by housing insecurity
2. Housing instability is compounded by limited economic opportunity
3. Economic hardship erodes mental wellbeing

Our society's systems treat these issues as separate problems, leaving people to navigate fragmented pathways alone. 3PC exists to bridge those gaps — creating integrated, human-centered support that reflects how people actually live and heal. At the same time, we believe society is experiencing a deeper crisis: a loss of meaning, belonging, and shared responsibility. Our work restores access not only to essential services, but to a deeper truth — that service to others is a core human instinct, and that collective care is how consciousness rises.

1. Dignity —
People are not problems to be solved

2. Creativity —
New futures require new thinking

3. Continuity —
Real change takes time and support

4. Transparency —
Trust is built through visibility

5. Service —
Lifting others lifts us all
